Centenary’s Hurley School of Music has mentored students who have gone on to professional careers as composers, opera singers, music theatre stars, public and private school music educators, choral conductors, college professors, public radio personalities, and church musicians. Hurley has been accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music since 1934.
Centenary College of Louisiana is a selective, residential, national liberal arts college affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Founded in 1825, it is the oldest chartered liberal arts college west of the Mississippi River and is a member of the Associated Colleges of the South. The college is home to the Meadows Museum of Art, accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, as well as an active performing arts program at the Marjorie Lyons Playhouse.
