Eastern New Mexico University is an outstanding regional state university situated on a beautiful 450-acre campus in a rural community of 17,000 people. The Portales campus consists of Colleges of Business, Education and Technology, Fine Arts, Liberal Arts and Sciences, and a Graduate School. Enrollment on the main campus is approximately 5,000, with branch campuses in Roswell and Ruidoso.
The Department of Music: A unit in the College of Fine Arts, the ENMU Department of Music is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music and has 14 full-time faculty members in addition to adjunct academic and applied faculty. Programs include undergraduate degrees in music, music education (choral/instrumental), and music performance (piano, voice, winds & percussion) with minors offered in music, fine arts, piano, music technology, and music composition. The wind and percussion division presently serves approximately 70 instrumental majors.
