Departmental Information: The Department of Music includes 16 full-time and 6 part-time faculty members who serve approximately 150 undergraduate majors, and is located on the River Campus, the only dedicated campus for the Arts in Missouri. The department offers the Bachelor of Music in Performance degree (B. M.), with options in voice, winds, strings, keyboard, guitar, and percussion; the Bachelor of Music Education degree (B.M.E.), in either vocal or instrumental certification; and the Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.), with a major in music. The musical arts flourish at Southeast. The department supports 12 ensembles including orchestra, band, and choral groups. Several small student ensembles and faculty chamber groups further complement this creative climate.
